Custom-Configured Special Nuts — Cold / Hot Forged, Machined, and Stamped

Special Nuts

Non-standard and custom-geometry nuts — cold-headed, hot-forged, machined, and stamped configurations supplied to customer drawing across automotive, industrial, and electronic programmes.

Broad process capability — cold-heading for mass-production commodity nuts, hot-forging for large sizes and high-strength grades, single-point turning for tight-tolerance precision, and progressive stamping for high-volume thin-profile nuts. Carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless grades standard; aluminium alloy available for specific applications.

Why source through Way Fast

We serve Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers — primarily to North American OEM programs, including platforms shared with European and Japanese brands — with day-to-day experience handling the documentation and tolerance standards these projects demand.

01 · Multi-source capacity
Working with multiple qualified manufacturing partners — we match each order to the best-fit production line, stabilizing lead times and cost when single-source capacity tightens.
02 · Submission-grade documentation
Full support for PPAP (Levels 1–3), IMDS submission, and RoHS / REACH documentation.
03 · Audited special-process chain
Partners certified to AIAG CQI-9 (heat treat), CQI-11 (plating), and CQI-12 (coating) — covering the full post-processing chain under audited special-process controls.
04 · Multilingual drawing review
Technical drawing review in English, German, Japanese, and Chinese — including ISO 8015 GPS callouts, JIS standards, thread tolerance classes, and coating specifications.
05 · Process selection and geometry capability
Manufacturing process (cold-heading, hot-forging, turning, stamping) and material grade matched per nut geometry, thread spec, annual volume, and tolerance requirement — drawing-reviewed against customer programme specification. Production partners qualified for automotive PPAP submission with validated defect-rate documentation.

Manufacturing processes across the Special Nuts range

Cold-heading
Mass production · standard grades
Cold-headed nuts for high-volume commodity configurations. Grain flow continuous through the part, faster throughput than machining, lower material waste. Standard DIN / ISO / JIS hex and flanged profiles across automotive and industrial applications.
Hot-forging
Large sizes · high-strength grades
Hot-forged nuts for sizes and property classes beyond cold-heading feasibility — typically above M24 or class 10 / 12 grades requiring temperature-controlled grain alignment. Used in chassis, heavy-equipment, and high-load structural joints.
Turning (CNC machining)
Tight tolerance · custom geometry
CNC-turned nuts for tight-tolerance or geometrically-complex configurations — special OD profiles, undercuts, integrated sealing faces, or small-volume prototype / pre-production runs. Supplied in carbon, alloy, stainless, brass, and aluminium-alloy grades.
Stamping
Thin-profile · high-volume sheet nuts
Progressive-die stamped nuts for thin-profile configurations — square nuts, keps-type plate nuts, sheet-metal retainers. High throughput on standard profiles; supplied in carbon and stainless sheet grades.
